Succession Foundations

We are delighted to be joined by Jack Minns and Will Gibbs from the Corporate Finance department of accountants Larking Gowen who will give their insight into the business transfer process.

Succession is a vital aspect of the business lifecycle. Whether you are building a lifestyle business or you are aiming to realise the value you have built through a sale, succession planning should form part of your strategy.

This session looks at the role succession planning takes in building business value. We will then consider the business transfer process and valuation methodologies before finishing with steps we can take to really improve the potential value of a business.

Stepping back from the day-to-day running of a business is never easy - having a great plan can make the transistion smoother.

Business Planning - building value

16 February 2022

A business plan is the basic tool that should be in every business leader's armoury. How can you lead people if you can't show them where they're heading? How can you measure success without setting expectations? In this session we'll discuss ways to make the planning process more effective and consider the proposition that a business plan should be focused on building value.

Navigating those 'That wasn't in the Plan' moments

9 March 2022

The entrepreneurial journey rarely follows the smooth upward-sloping trajectory confidently predicted in the myriad of cashflow forecasts presented to investors. More usually the journey is punctuated by a series of long, dark, sleepless nights spent trying to square a seemingly impossible circle. Arguably, these are the times we really learn about ourselves and how business works. In this session, Charles Cohen shares the lessons he learned when the tide turned against his business.

Meeting Tomorrow's Challenges

30 March 2022

Most of the time our focus is on the current environment - what is happening in the economy, in politics and in the markets in the short-term. At Chadwicks we're equally interested in the long-term 'mega-trends' that will shape our future regardless of who has been partying where. This session takes a step back to look at the bigger picture and consider how we might meet the challenges presented by the long-term mega-trends.

What people have to say about previous events....

Chadwick’s Masterclasses are one of the highlights in my calendar. Clearly, a great deal of thought and preparation goes into them, which results in useful and up-to-date information that helps me plan my personal money matters, develop my business and think more clearly about what to do next in this ever-changing world. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking to improve the management of their finances.

Lindsey Mack | Director | CloudQast

I have been a regular attendee at Chadwick’s business seminars for several years and without fail I have found the sessions to be useful and practical on the one hand whilst thought provoking and inspiring on the other. Many advisers can put on topical seminars, few can make you feel that you want to go on to study the subject yourself!
